Two areas of the flat metal roof were leaking at a large four-bedroom, single-storey home in Chapman.
Rainwater getting beneath the roof could have caused more damage if the leaks continued. The home’s existing Rinnai Sunmaster solar hot water system also needed a service.
Our team inspected the two known leaking areas and completed the required roof repairs. During the same job, we serviced the existing Rinnai system.
This allowed the roof and hot water work to be completed during one visit. The known leak areas were repaired, while the solar hot water system received the planned care it needed.
Two Leaks on the Flat Metal Roof
The large single-storey home has a flat metal roof.
Two separate areas were leaking and needed attention before more rainwater could get beneath the roof.
Roof leaks can be hard to trace because water may move away from the place where it first enters. It can then appear in another part of the home.
Our team inspected the known leaking areas and planned the required repairs.

Repairing the Known Leak Areas
Our team completed the required repairs to the two known leaking roof sections.
The work focused on the areas where rainwater had been getting through.
Repairing both sections helped reduce the risk of more water moving beneath the flat roof and spreading into the home.
Servicing the Existing Rinnai Sunmaster System
The home also had an existing Rinnai Sunmaster solar hot water system that needed servicing.
Our team completed the planned service during the same visit as the roof work.
The Rinnai system was not newly installed, replaced or upgraded as part of this job. The work involved servicing the existing unit.
Two Important Jobs Completed in One Visit
Our final checks confirmed that:
both known roof leak areas had been attended to
the affected roof sections had been repaired
the existing Rinnai Sunmaster system had been serviced
the roof and hot water work had been completed during the same visit
The work helped reduce the risk of further water entering the home and gave the existing solar hot water system the planned care it needed.
